Power and Energy Recruiting: NETA Certified Testing Technicians

Level I to IV test, relay and commissioning technicians for accredited testing companies, utilities and data center construction across the United States.

More Data Centers Than Certified Technicians

Every new data center has to be tested and signed off before it energizes, and that work has to be done by NETA certified technicians. Construction is outpacing the supply of people who can do it. The technicians you need are already on a rotation somewhere else and are not reading job boards.

A recruiter who doesn't know the difference between acceptance testing and maintenance testing will waste your time. Tom does know, and screens for it.

Three checks on every candidate, so the first interview starts at the technical conversation.

The Equipment

Switchgear, protective relays, transformers, breakers and the test sets used on them.

The Standards

Working knowledge of ANSI/NETA ATS for acceptance testing and MTS for maintenance testing.

The Travel

The rotation, the per diem and the vehicle are discussed before a job title comes up, so nobody drops out at offer stage.

A Recruiter Who Has Held a Hard Certification

Tom became CCIE #1865 in 1996 after a two-day hands-on lab. He knows what a technical certification costs to earn and what it's worth.

He trained in the US Navy's Advanced Electronics Program before 21 years at Cisco, and started recruiting NETA testing technicians in 2026, reaching 30-plus live openings within months. Nine technicians placed with three accredited testing companies so far.
