A utility services contractor needs a relay technician to test, commission and troubleshoot protection schemes at substations.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and commission protective relays and control schemes
• Read schematics and trace wiring faults
• Document settings and as-found, as-left results

Qualifications and Requirements

• NETA Level II or III, or equivalent relay experience
• Experience with SEL, GE and ABB relays
• Own hand tools and a laptop for relay software

Work Environment and Logistics

Substation and plant work. Overtime is common during outages. Per diem and lodging on out-of-town jobs.
